Jillibean Soup | Eight Years...

Hello Friends!  I just wanted to share with you my layout created for Jillibean Soup. It seems we are constantly celebrating birthdays through January to May and Ethan's birthday generally kicks off the year on January 4.

I created this layout using the new Birthday Bisque collection from Jillibean Soup.  I fell in love with the orange colours and the fabulous little soda bottles.  *grin*  Perfect for any party scene, right?!

"Eight Years and Worth Every Minute"

products used: cs - Kaisercraft; pp - Jillibean Soup (Birthday Bisque); alpha - Jillibean Soup (Alphabeans); other - Jillibean Soup: placemats, stickers, flashcards, soup labels, wood sprinkles, pea pod parts (die-cuts); mist; tools - typewriter, tab punch.

And I guess it won't surprise you that we are off to another birthday party today.  We are celebrating the kids' Great Grandma's (Mark's Grandma) birthday.  We can't wait to catch up and smother her in hugs and kisses.  Have a great weekend.. and thanks for visiting...x

Bella Blvd | Pinterest Inspiration...

Hello Friends!  Happy Friday!  Today I have a Bella Blvd layout to share with you and it all started with some paperclips!!!

Every now and then the design team are challenged with an image found on Pinterest.  Laura does a fabulous job at sourcing these images and I always have fun with the ones I am assigned to.  This one however, had me scratching my head a little!  LOL!! But I have to admit, with a some thinking outside the box, I have come to really like the finished product.  *grin*

I think it was the paperclips that had me umming and ah-ing.  But I knew I was drawn to the notebook paper and the green polka dots.  The red?... Yeah, I left that in the Inspiration photo! LOL!

"Awesome Trouble"

products used: pp - Bella Blvd (Max, Lucky Starz, Family Forever); other - Bella Blvd: stickers, arrow stickers, die-cuts; paperclips, date stamp; tools - typewriter, hand stitching.

The title was fussy cut from the photo mat paper (Max: That's my Boy) and then hand stitched back on top of it.  I kind of like the camouflage look it creates.

The banner on the paperclip is taken from the Inspiration photo, as are the circles on the page.  These circles are meant to represent the circles on the paperclips from the top part of the Inspiration picture.

I've also created a little pocket under the photo layers to house my journaling.  This photo of my son and his two best mates, is priceless.  Do you know how hard it is to take a photo of just one eleven year old boy, never mind three of them???  *ahem... - I had them pinned up against a wall in the photo!!!*

And of course, no boyish layout created with the Max collection, should ever be without these awesome paper pieces!  That army guy is a fave!!!   LOL!

Head on over to the Bella Blvd blog for more takes on the Pinterest Challenge.  Thanks for visiting..x

Hampton Art | Mr Smarty..

Oh dear! I have totally lost track of time and haven't shared my layout created for Hampton Art this month!  It was posted on March 6. March 6!!! That's a big ooops on my part but I guess better late than never.

*bashful grin?*

cs - Kaisercraft; pp - Jillibean Soup; Stamps - Hampton Art: Jillibean Soup, Echo Park; alphas - Jillibean Soup; other - ink: colorbox, colorshine, Jillibean Soup: pea pod parts; tools - typewriter, machine stitching.

This month I wanted to use a full sheet of letter stamps without the hassle of individually placing them on an acrylic block.  My solution..? A simple paintbrush loaded with water.   :)

You guys are pretty clever and have already figured it out, but if you would like to know more, please visit the Hampton Art blog for the details.  *grin*

I'm a Guest Designer!!

Hello Everyone!  I hope you all have exciting things planned for March.  Yep.  That's right.  March!!!  sheesh!  But despite the weeks flying away on me, I have some awesome news to share.

Late last year I was invited by the lovely Renate to be a Guest Designer for her blog Scrappeland.  This scrapbooking forum and challenge blog is based in Norway and they asked if I would like to create something Project Life style, to help inspire their readers.  Of course I jumped at the chance!  I rarely get the chance to be a GDT and I was excited that someone would be interested in what I create! LOL!

So here it was, late November and Christmas was approaching. I knew I definitely wanted to document this week and of course, the gorgeous Heidi Swapp had just visited Australia. I had in mind right from the beginning that I was going to combine the two events!

Jillibean Soup | Love Notes...

Hi Everyone!  I'm back again today (and somewhat late!!) to share another CHA project created for Jillibean Soup

products used: cs - Kaisercraft; pp - Jillibean Soup (Heart Healthy Red Bean Soup/Soup Staples II); other - Jillibean Soup: paper doiles, pea pod parts, stampables kraft bags, beanstalks (twine), flash cards, soup labels, coordinating stickers; mist, embroidery thread; tools - typewriter, foam tape.

I really love this Valentine's Day collection and was thrilled when given the chance to play along with it.  There are plenty of layers here too.  *grin*  I couldn't help myself!  And in the craziness that is CHA... I created this LO within two hours!  And that included the online communication with both Kimber and Jill.  A small feat in itself considering the time differences! LOL!

This layout will hold all those special notes my Mr 8 likes to write to me.  sigh... These love notes will become a more treasured gift in years to come. :)

Thanks for visiting me today...x
