Scraptastic Club | Pretty Pastels...

Hello Friends!  Just popping in here quickly today, to share a layout I have on the Scraptastic Club blog.  The amazing Kim Jeffress and I collaborated on a Pinterest Inspiration board to base our layout challenge on.  Together this is what we came up with..

It feels very whimsical and free to me.  LOL!  But I was immediately drawn to the paint palette as a starting point for my layout.

"Car Tunes"

products used: SCRAPTASTIC CLUB kit: Let Me Go; tools - ink, machine stitching

This is just an everyday moment captured.  But even though right now it  is a regular occurrence, I know these moments won't always last forever, my daughter won't always be taking dance classes and my sons will no longer want to sing the "Happy" song in the car with mum.

The "Let Me Go" kit from Scraptastic is primarily a travel themed one, but it is still very versatile.  The car embellishment is actually a cork cut out and I love it!  But it didn't suit my LO in its original colour.  My solution was to ink it with Jet Black VersaMark ink.

Happy Scrappy News | Scraptastic Club...

Hi There and Happy Easter to everyone!  Today I wanted to share with you the happy 'scrappy' news I've been sitting on for a little while now!  A few weeks ago I was approached by Jessica, the owner of Scraptastic Club, a scrapbooking company that specialises in putting together amazing kits, to join their team!

I am very honoured to be a part of this amazing DT and I cant wait to share with you what you can get from one kit alone! Wowsers!!  I was astounded when I opened my first kit a few days ago!!!

I requested the April 'Let Me Go' kit.  This colourful kit is full of travel bits and pieces.  Even if you aren't traveling or don't need travel inspired items, there are plenty of papers and embellishments here for you.

My very first Scraptastic Club blog post is live now. The timing with our journey North and the arrival of this kit couldn't have worked out any better!  LOL!

Hello!

Have you noticed my absence once again? LOL!  You may well have guessed that it once again school holidays here and we are about to celebrate Easter.  I have a number of shares to catch you up on but as you can imagine, I am slightly overwhelmed with everyday life right now.

These school holidays we travelled 15 hours North, in the car, with four children, non-stop. Crazy? Definitely. But worth it? Maybe.. LOL!

While we were visiting my home town, we got caught up in Tropical Cyclone Ita.  A category 4 storm that hit the North Queensland coast.  We were lucky enough to be inland and not in the direct path but of course we still received the rain and winds.

What my kids enjoyed most was spending time with their grandmother and reuniting with their cousins!  Of course I also got to drag them all over the country town I went to high school in and showed them a few of the local haunts!

So while I am wading through the multiple piles of washing and unpacking our suit cases, please head on over to Sassy Scrappers and check out my PL spreads for Week 10....

Bella Blvd | Pinterest Inspiration...

Hi Everyone!  I am back this week with another Bella Blvd Pinterest Inspired layout and it has everything to do with sequins!

Last week I created a very masculine page.  This week and with these colours, I've gone very feminine.  Besides, surely you can't have sequins in an Inspiration Photo and NOT go girly!  LOL!

"Easter Prayer"

products used: cs - Kaisercraft; pp - Bella Blvd (Molly, Lucky Starz); alpha - Bella Blvd; other - Bella Blvd: stickers; sequins, embroidery floss; tools - hand stitching, foam tape.

The colour palette (minus the purple) and the sequins dominated my thought process when creating this layout.  Even the way the colour strips were added to the Inspiration photo, I pulled into the layout but in a horizontal way rather than vertical.

The fussy cut flowers and stars create a beautiful feature on the layout which balances my square black and white photo.  The sequins are just an added bonus!  I love sequins!! *grin*  And the pink and silver subtly entwined with the fussy cut element s creates a magical trail of sparkle across my page.

If you would like to see what the other designers created with this Inspiration photo, please head on over to the Bella Blvd blog.  Thanks for visiting...x

Bella Blvd & Page Maps...

Hello lovely friends!! Today I am so excited to share with you, a layout created for the Becky Fleck Page Maps challenge with the Bella Blvd team.
Becky created this 8.5" x 11" sketch for me to base my layout on.  And I absolutely fell in love with it!  *grin* As soon as I stared my creative process, the layout came together so fast!

Using Bella Blvd Family Forever collection, I've pretty much followed along with the sketch, paper placement by paper placement!  I may have changed it up a little by using a square photo rather than the suggested 3.5"x5" photo.

"Before Prep"

products used: pp - Bella Blvd (Family Forever/Molly); Alpha - Bella Blvd Sophisticates: Blue High Five Alphabets; other - Bella Blvd: (Family Forever) Candid Cards, Paper Pieces, Trinkets, Treasures & Text, (Snapshots) Bookplates & Captions,  Designer Tape: Ice Stripe; Embroidery floss, navy ink; tools - typewriter.

Check out what the other DT members have come up with!  You will need to go to PageMaps to see the full reveals!

Bella Blvd is hosting a giveaway over on the PageMaps blog to go along with the release of the April sketches.  Make sure and stop by their blog to find out how to enter in the giveaway.  Thanks for visiting...x
