Bella Blvd | Coffee Date...

Hello Friends!!  Happy Valentine's Day!!  I hope this wonderful Friday puts you in the mood to grab someone close to you and give them a great big hug!  Today I have a 'love' inspired layout to share with you.  Over at Bella Blvd we have been challenged with a new Pinterest image to glean inspiration from...

"Coffee Date"
products used: pp - Bella Blvd (Love and Marriage/Freestyle Sophisticates); alphas - Bella Blvd; other - Bella Blvd: crochet hearts, stickers, designer tape; Kaisercraft pearls, Mister Huey's mist, vellum; tools - typewriter, hand stitching, silhouette portrait.

At first glance my layout doesn't really resemble the Pinterest image but I have taken inspiration from a number areas!  *grin*  The colour of the back ground, the heart banners, the hearts(!), the 'love' arrangement and even a little bit of the ombre, have all been used.  :)

I knew, after seeing this Pinterest image for the first time, that I wanted to use the crochet hearts.  They add such a lovely texture to the page.  I've teamed them up with some silhouette cut hearts and hand stitched them to the layout.

If you would like to see what the other designers have created with this image, please head on over to the Bella blog.  And while you are there, don't forget to sign up for the Bella Buzz newsletter - due out later today!

And as an update for everyone who just. can't. wait. to get their hands on the new CHA collections.....

Thanks so much for visiting...x

Scrapboxx create...

Once again it is time to share some layouts that were created for The Boxx newsletter using the September and October Boxx of Scraps.

The wonderfully talented Gina put together September's BOS using plenty of Authentique and My Mind's Eye papers. Yummmmm!

[Blissful]

[Father's Day]

And I got to put together October's BOS. (There is only one kit left in the shop... so be quick if you want it! ;D ...)

[The most delightful kind of wonderful]

[Hula]

Don't you just love those Manor House  flowers!!!

I still have plenty of product left over from both kits but I have also made use of the packaging as well!  I just can't let anything go to waste! hee hee... Especially when it is all so pretty. :D

Boxx Newsletter...

Hi there!  It's that time again!  Time to sit down and read all the news about what is happening at The Boxx this month.  There is some exciting news about a new on-line class I am teaching! Yep.  You read that right.  I'm going to attempt to teach something about scrapbooking!  Bwahahaha... That was my nervous laugh.  (I hope it turns out okay! LOL).

With this month's newsletter however,  I had the incredibly fun task of scraplifting another talented lady on The Boxx forum.  If you want to know who and what the original looks like... please visit here.

[With You In It]

products used: cs - bazzill; pp - Echo Park (Victoria Gardens), kaisercraft.  Other - Echo Park stickers, Jillibean Soup corrugated butterfly, foam tape, black pen, ink: versacolor, kaisercraft.

Create...

It is the Scrapboxx newsletter time again!  And I had the absolute pleasure of playing with the May Boxx of Scraps!!  Kylie did an amazing job putting this little kit together...with all of its flowery glory! LOL!

This is what I came up with...

["Friend" card]

 I'll admit that the lime green threw me for  moment!  hee hee.. but it came together for the card.

[Mr Cutie Pie]

I have had these photos of Liam floating around on my desk since January! LOL! And I couldn't resist the challenge to create a boy's type LO using lots of flowers.  I've also cut out the packaging from parts of the kit and added it too.  To make it a little bit more masculine however, I've machine stitched some rows in a cream cotton thread.

Some parts of the paper flower cluster have been raised using foam tape....

[Call us Twins]

This last LO was heaps of fun to put together!  Again these photos are from January this year and they feature Ethan and his cousin Hayley.  They are so sweet together!  They rarely get to spend time together or see each other for that matter because we live at different ends of the State.  But when they do get together....wow!  They are inseparable!  LOL!  There is just over a month's difference in age.  Ethan being the older one (not that he looks it!!!).  The two of them are always walking around, hand-in-hand, telling everyone that they are twins!!  LOL!  I love it!

Oh!  And by the way... They are twins, not because they look alike... not because they are cousins... BUT, because they are both FIVE!  hee hee... I love their logic too!

I hope everyone had a wonderful week-end.  I've had my Mum visit for a short 24 hrs.  The kids didn't want to let her go at the airport.  :(  But they all had a great time while Nanny was here!  Especially playing the age-old game....."spiders"!  LOL!  Now there's a LO waiting to be created! hee hee...

Create...

The Scrapboxx Newsletter is now out and for this month's issue, I was rostered to participate with a layout featuring a parent or grandparent.

[Special Bond]

I chose to scrap an older photo of Ethan and his Great-Grandmother! They have always had a special bond as you can plainly tell by the photo.

I love these candid type shots! Head on over and see what the rest of the team came up with. You won't be disappointed.

Remember this vintage sneak from the other day??

Well... I can now share the full layout...

{The Story of Tradition}

This page was created for the Scrapboxx newsletter where some of the DT members were challenged to create a "vintage" style layout. Go and visit The Boxx and check out what the other girls created! Wow! They are amazing. Oh! And make sure you grab yourself a cuppa before sitting down to read through the newsletter...x :)

Also.... I just wanted to thank everyone for their kind words regarding my family in the path of Tropical Cyclone Yasi. I am over whelmed at your kind words and "virtual" support! LOL! Thank you all so much...x

Create...

The Boxx newsletter is out and I have some layouts to share....

From the Book of You kit, I got to play with these gorgeous papers from Girls' Paperie...

{Made Just for Her}

Tahlia's Great-grandad had this doll's house made for her not long before he passed away. She just loves it. Always has, and even now you will still find her sitting in front of it, rearranging the doll's furniture or gently playing.

This layout is also from the BOY kit (because the paper's are so pretty I just didn't want to throw out any scrap pieces)...

{Not so Little Girl}

Also in this month's newsletter, a challenge was issued to the DT to create a layout based on artwork from the Expressionism period. I chose this piece of art by Kandinsky...

..which inspired this layout from me...

{Purple Balloon}

A little bit different for me but I do like the way the lollipop flowers turned out. :) It was a lot of fun and the challenge will no doubt go up in the forum soon. I can't wait to see your creations! Thanks for visiting..x

Scrapboxx newsletter...

Hi... I just wanted to share a recent layout that came out in the Scrapboxx newsletter today. I got to play with the "Boxx of Scraps" kit which, for a first timer, was a lot of fun.

This kit was perfect for Ethan. He is always walking around the house with either a hammer or screwdriver or spanner.... just looking for something to fix! When this photo was taken, I'd just caught him in the garage next to our "new" car, with a screwdriver in the back pocket and wrench hidden behind his back! I'm not sure what he was planning, but it probably was going to be expensive! LOL!

note to self: Ask Santa to give this boy a tool box for Christmas!!

I also made this card. The cardstock reminded me of a blackboard and the ruled lines and pencil patterned paper seem to agree! hee hee...

TFL... More to come soon.
