It has been a very crazy week for scrapping. Most of which I have had in the works for a while but it all seems to have come together at the same time!! LOL!!

Today is the new sketch release at Inspired Blueprints. I love this sketch (#56) and pretty much followed it exactly! hee hee... Sometimes you just got do what inspires....

journaling says: Cam was so funny @ Jesse's birthday party. Every time someone with a lollipop came near to say hello, he would quickly reach out and snatch it!

His daddy was a big culprit in encouraging this! LOL!!

Also today, over at Kaisercraft, we are showcasing the Christmas collection 'Tis The Season. I love the vintage look to these patterned papers!!

It's my week to blog over at Kaisercraft and I just wanted to share some projects.

On Monday Kirsty, Trudi, Vicki and myself used the "Be Merry" patterned paper collection to showcase some layouts.

This was mine.

Yesterday it was my turn to offer a tip or technique. I chose to write about distressing and sewing on layouts. Simply because I do this on just about all of them! I have to admit though, the layout I created is one of my favourites so far.

Removing the chicken feathers...

Strange title? Yep. But I have been saying it for a while now and it's all about Cameron! LOL!! This kid has been pulling himself up and cruising the furniture from about 8 months old. He. Just. Won't. Take. A. Step! hee hee... So I have been telling everyone, that I am plucking the chicken feathers off of him so he is brave enough to take his first few steps. *sheesh!*

But then again, why would he start walking when he has a good thing going on! :D

His sister and two brothers will do anything for him. All Cam has to do is point his chubby, regal finger, give a grunt, and they are all off and racing to see who will get what he wants first! It's fantastic that they all love and adore him. There is certainly no sibling rivalry here...........yet! But how do I remove that royal crown of his and literally put him on his feet?!

Last week he has started to realise that walking on two feet is better than crawling (granted, at almighty fast speeds). Liam has been really encouraging this by letting Cameron hold his fingers as they go walk-about! Now Ethan wants to get in on the act! LOL! Trouble is, Ethan has no where near the height that Liam does, and Ethan and Cam often tumble over. Back to square one.

He was showing progress though. Again, during last week he started to put some confidence into those legs of his and stand by himself, give or take, for about 10 seconds. Until I got all excited and started jumping around yelling "Good boy!!" hee hee... Couldn't help myself! Cam of course loves the attention and now we are at a free standing time of about 30 seconds. :D

So, no walking yet. But this is where we are at. And I wanted to document the progress of the process. IYKWIM! What better place to share than here.

So, if anyone asks, I'm still plucking at his feathers. And yes, I do know that he will get there in his own time. :) I'm just enjoying the humour of the situation. Cheeky boy.

I have a few more layouts to share. These ones are mostly for fun. I am playing along with the challenges over at Scrapability Sketches and these layouts are what I came up with for the first three challenges....

Challenge #1: scrap your addiction

journaling: addicted? chocolate. nuff said. we all love chocolate but these are a favourite.

I tea died the book page to blend in better with the chocolate patterned papers and just to give it that aged look. There are a mix of American Crafts, October Afternoon and Kaisercraft (Up, Up and Away) papers here. I have been hoarding the AC (background) patterned paper for a while now. I am so glad that I've now used it!

Challenge #2: use the colours purple, green, white and yellow

journaling: book week 2010. This year you wanted to go as Alice from wonderland. You had seen the new movie earlier in the year and loved it.

This layout I had to do because I had already scrapped Liam's book week character. I couldn't let these photos sit on my desk un-scrapped. That's just asking for unwanted drama! LOL! Picture this.... "Why have you scrapped him & not me-eeeeee?" Oh. I can hear it alright. hee hee..

I really enjoyed this colour challenge. The splash of yellow is my favourite.

Challenge #3: scrap the bond you have with your pet

journaling: My boy & his window dog... for now. Until you are much bigger, you will have to play with him through the glass.

Cam adores Jack. And vise versa. But Jack is a little too boisterous with his love for the older kids. So far he has been really gentle with Cam. I guess he knows what he can get away with, with the older kids! Cheeky dog.

I really am crazy though!! LOL!! Not only am I trying to squeeze in "extra" scrapping (which I love anyway!) but I left this until last minute. hee hee.... note to self: be more organized!

Happy Father's Day...

In Australia today we are celebrating Father's Day. We actually have family photos planned for today (so I am hoping that goes well! LOL!!) and a family trip to the movies!

So I want to wish all the Dads out there a very special day. And especially to these three....

You are a wonderful Daddy and the kids love you very much! (LOL!! In some of those photos there are a few nieces and nephews thrown in!!)

Did I mention it's Spring?...

Hi Everyone. Over at Kaisercraft today there's a little tutorial on how I made these pretty Spring Flowers.

They are really easy and very quick to put together. I'm thinking they might make a nice gift for the kids school teachers at the end of the year....

Finally....a few month later... but when have I ever claimed to be a chronological scrapper! LOL!! I do think I need to add extra journaling here though... Dare I say a work in progress...
