Jillibean Soup | Gift Bags...

Hey Everyone! Here's a quick idea to create fun gift bags that I thought I'd share... especially since they can be used for Halloween as well!

These bags were created for the Jillibean Soup blog for Father's Day.

I played with a few design store cut files to create the sentiment and teamed it up with the Monster Stamp and Shaker Die.

For more fun details, head on over to the JSBlog.

Jillibean Soup | Halloween Treat boxes...

Hello Trick or Treaters! Today I have a little 'Off the Page' project to share.  And when I say little, I actually mean matchbox size, little!

Our Designer Challenge this month for Jillibean Soup, was to create some Halloween Décor.  I've been playing with the wonderful 6x6" mini paper pads and suddenly, like magic!!!, I had created a little box for treats.  I will use these to give to the rare visitor who comes knocking on our door at Halloween.  *grin*

products used: pp - Jillibean Soup mini paper pads (Owloween Stew, Witches Brew); other - Jillibean Soup: wood veneer (Halloween), enamel stars, pea pod parts (Halloween), beanstalks; ink; tools - matchbox template via Pinterest.

They are quite easy to make, especially if you like origami.

I found this free template online from Pinterest, printed it out and followed the instructions (download and instructions found via the link above).

After creating the boxes, you can decorate using all the fun bits and pieces from Jillibean Soup's Halloween collections! I've used the enamel stars, miniature tags from the peapod parts and the perfectly sized wood veneers!

All that's left to do then, is to fill them with something yummy... or scary! LOL! That's your choice, but I'm thinking a fake finger could be funny, especially if they were given to my prankster sons! HA!

Finally wrap the boxes with some beanstalk twine and keep out of reach of children (or husbands) who want to eat the treats before they should!  Thanks for visiting..x

ps - How cute would these little boxes be, created from Christmas themed patterned papers and all lined up as an advent calendar!  The ideas are endless!

Bella Blvd | Spooktacular...

Hi Everyone!  This week over at Bella Blvd we are creating all things Halloween!  This caused a bit of a quandary for me, because even though Halloween is becoming more and more popular in Australia, as a family, my kids aren't bothered about celebrating it.  Of course this is bound to change as soon as I type and publish this blog post! *grin*

As you will learn over at the Bella Blvd blog, I chose to create a layout about Cameron being inspired to dress up as a "mummy", thanks to endless episodes of Scooby Doo!  Sheesh! Can you relate?  I'm just glad he grabbed actual bandages rather than a roll of toilet paper!!

products used: cs - American Crafts; pp - Bella Blvd (Halloween Magic); Alpha - Bella Blvd (High-Five Alphas); other - Bella Blvd: stickers; embroidery thread; tools - machine stitching, typewriter, foam tape.

Halloween Magic is versatile enough to help me capture this memory without too many heavy references back to Halloween!

As I mentioned before, this entire week over at Bella Blvd is going to be dedicated to all things spooky!  If you need some inspiration, don't forget to check out what the creative DT have put together.  Thanks for visiting..x

A collection of Cards...

Hi Everyone.  Just wanted to pop in here quickly to share a few of my card creations from the last month.  Today I have one of my cards up on the Jillibean Soup blog.  Considering the patterned papers I've been playing with, it is starting to look a little like Christmas around here!!! oh my....... *grin*

products used: cs - Kaisercraft; pp - Jillibean Soup; other - Jillibean Soup: die cuts, Christmas Cheer Chowder word stickers, flash cards.

products used: cs - Kaisercraft; pp - Jillibean Soup: Christmas Cheer Chowder, Soup Staples II; other - Jillibean Soup: soup labels, twine; ink.

But I've also been playing with some Hampton Art stamps too.  I created this creepy crawly card for my niece who loves anything bug related!  She's not you typical 11 year old! :)

products used: cs - Kaisercraft; pp - Bella Blvd; other - Jillibean Soup clear stamps, rhinestones, twine, Greatest View glassine bag; tools - hole punch, corner rounder.

I'm keeping it fairly simple with my cards at the moment.  If I think about it too much then I get overwhelmed! LOL!  Especially with the thought of Christmas looming! Yikes!! Thanks for visiting with me today..x
