Yay!  I've finally had the chance to play with Storyboard Kits latest...."Kelsey".

It is such a fabulous and funky, boy orientated kit!  And I love it!  Especially as I have three boys to scrap about!

This month I have played with photos all taken on the same day - Ethan's Under 8's Week at school.  See this post here.  He is so cute!  Ha ha ha... even if I do say so myself!

Here's what I've come up with:

[Under 8's]

[Inquisitive]

Don't you just love the colours!  Lisa always does an amazing job!!  (I think I must says this everytime! hee hee..) Check out all the details as to why and how I created these layouts over at Storyboard.  And while there...it would hurt to do a little shopping...right?!  Thanks for visiting...x

With blogger being very disruptive over the last day or so, I haven't had the chance to share my Storyboard Kits layouts created from Jarvis.

I loved everything in this kits!! Especially all the little bits and pieces Lisa includes. You can read in more detail, what I did with them here.

Isn't this kit delightful??? I have created four layouts already with this and still have heaps of product left over. Heaps!!

And the other design team gals have really rocked their kits too. Check them out over at the Storyboard Kits blog. I'm still pinching myself that Lisa chose me to be on the team too! LOL!

So here's what I've created so far....

{H2O}

journaling: Cam thought the funny pool water fountain was hilarious!

And quite frankly, watching both him and our niece Moriah (aged 2) trying to figure out what the purpose of it was, was so much fun!! These photos were taken at Callum's 10th birthday party.

{So Brave}

This layout is about Ethan's dental surgery. My journaling is hidden in the pocket. Pretty much straight from the blog.

{Organized Chaos}

In January, my in-laws celebrated their 40th Wedding anniversary. We went out the day before all the flooding occurred in Brisbane and the Lockyer Valley. And of course it was raining. A lot. But what I documented in this layout was the amount of effort it takes to organize four generations (including nine grandchildren) to eat in a restaurant. Very trivial stuff... considering....

{Swim Team}

Earlier this year, (I can't remember if I've blogged about it), Tahlia was selected to participate in the District Swim Trials from her school. Very few kids were chosen. I hadn't really given it much thought, when she came home late last year, from her school swimming carnival, (also held in the pouring rain!!!), with a blue ribbon for backstroke. She is a good swimmer. But she hates it. I suppose that comes from me. I hate swimming. And I especially hated competing in swimming carnivals at school! LOL!

She had to wait over two hours for her race to start. It was also an after school meet, so when the trials started at 6.30 pm, this meant she didn't even get her feet wet until close to 9pm!!! Her poor nerves got the better of her. She was a wreck. And she puts way too much pressure on herself. Waaaaay too much. She probably gets that trait from me too.

Anyway, she came away from it with a person best time and regret for missing out on a ballet lesson! :)

So that's it for now. Don't forget to come back tomorrow morning for the Kaisercraft blog hop!! Hope to see you there. Thanks for visiting...x

I have been playing with paper. And scissors. And glue. And new birthday goodies! Yes siree! Lots of fun for me! LOL! Happy, happy, joy, joy!!!

For my birthday, I went shopping at TwoPeas and came home with a few punches (ummm... No. There wasn't a fight at the bargain bin. The punches are the good scrappy kind! LOL!). I can't wait to really get the chance to put them to work! hee!

So, let me start by sharing with you my latest projects with Storyboard Kits. "Hudson" is just delightful! - (but unfortunately sold out!). You still have the chance to win a kit from Storyboard though, if you go here... :)

There is such a good mix of patterned papers and Bo Bunny swiss dot cardstock available in this kit. I couldn't resist mixing it all up... just little!

{Ticket 2 Ride}

journalling: Finally you are old enough to ride the mower. Daddy showed you the controls, but there was a problem. Your legs are not quite long enough! Thus Liam gets to ride too...x

{So Worthwhile}

journalling: even though you keep me awake most nights and your favourite word is "mumma" on repeat... It is still so worthwhile.

With this layout, I gravitated towards the We R Memory Keepers patterned paper and used the Fancy Pants as the background. (LOL!! Just re-read and realised how crazy these words together must seem for the non-scrapper!)

Anyway, happy scrapping folks. For the past week I have created a page each day! I am on a roll....and there's more to come! Yay! Thanks for visiting..x

Don't you just love it when a layout comes together really fast?? Yesterday I received the fabulous "Hudson" kit from Lisa (Storyboard Kits) and I managed to whip up this layout....in record time too! LOL!!

{Lil' Mate}

Over the Christmas period last year, my parents came to visit and Cam tended to stick to my dad like glue. He followed Granddad Jim around every where! Whether he was inside or outdoors, Cameron was about two steps behind. He even wanted to be involved with the mowing and gardening! (yep. I put my dad to work when he comes to visit! LOL!) Dad started to call Cam his lil' mate. They made quite a pair!!

And even though this layout came together quickly, I'll admit though, that I had some help! LOL! Storyboard is sponsoring this month's sketch over at Sketchy Thursdays. I thought I might play along....

I also wanted to use this post to send all my love and thoughts to our friends in New Zealand. The devastation from the earthquake in Christchurch is quite shattering. Stay safe and know that our prayers are with you...x

Today I wanted share another layout I created for Storyboard Kits (Giselle - sold out). This was actually the first one I made from the kit and it has many....ummm, many layers! LOL!

{Bubbles}

journaling: Who would have thought that such a small bottle of party bubbles could be so much fun!!!

If you would like to know more details, head on over here for my step by step. Have a great day.

Today as promised... :) I want to share my first layouts created with the Giselle Kit (sold out) from Storyboard Kits!

These kits have so much gorgeous detail and versatile papers included that you can create just about any layout you desire! LOL!

{Cats}

In this LO I have used the reverse side of the Basic Grey laser cut doily, so it stands out against the background paper. I have also added paint and ink to the edges of page and the peek-a-boo grid at the top, to complete the look I wanted.

The dress maker's pattern paper was perfect for adding texture and replicating the flowers on the background patterned paper.

{Home for Xmas}

I love trying to create a LO out out of non-traditional products and this is what I have done here (hopefully - to some degree of success! LOL!). And yes... there's more layering here too... :)

{Prep}

The October Afternoon "Chalkboard" papers were perfect for this LO I wanted to create about Ethan. This was the day he found out which class he will in this year. He also got to meet his new teacher - Mrs Thompson. He was so excited to find his name up on the board!!

Again there are a few layers on this LO too! hee! But I think I love the bakers twine most of all!

Thanks for visiting and letting me share these LOs. I absolutely love these kits but I have a feeling, since the roads are damaged and still cut in some places by flood waters, that my next kit may take some time in arriving! *sigh* Gotta love Mother Nature for getting in the way of some serious scrapping time!! LOL! Keep smiling...x

Woot Woo!

It is extremely rare for me to post twice in one day. But I really want to share my exciting news. News that I've been holding onto for a little while now! ;)

I am absolutely honoured to let you know I made it onto the design team for Storyboard Kits! Yay!! I am soo excited! But I am going to have to ask you all a favour..... PLEASE excuse the dodgy head shot! LOL!!

Check out the announcement here and the other fabulous scrappers I'm going to be working with!

And here's a little sneak peek to whet the appetite of what's to come. Introducing "Giselle".

I can't wait to play....x
