Bella BLVD | Saturday Sketch...

Hello Friends.  Have you seen the latest Saturday sketch over at Bella BLVD?  It is pretty awesome!  Twice a month, Bella will be bringing you a new sketch, and showing you a few takes on the sketch by the designers. The first sketch for February is courtesy of Becky Fleck and I got to play along...

"Get in the Game"

Supplies:
Mr Boy: Borders N' Blocks, Cute Cuts, Quadrants, Wall of Fame; Making The Team: Ciao Chip Icons, Miniatures; Birthday Boy: About A Boy; Birthday Girl: Miles of Smiles; Sophisticates: Sprinkles & Lace Surf N Turf; Kiss Me: Mustache Love; Flag: Home Sweet Home

So it isn't an exact replica of the sketch... but that's why I love sketches so much!  They are a great place to make a start on a layout.  And some days I need the motivation to pull out some paper to scrap particular photos and stories.

If you would like to know the odd story behind the photos on this page, please visit Bella BLVD.  Thanks for coming by..x

Bella BLVD | Splash...

Hello Friends!  phew.  So far we have had a very busy week-end in the Allinson household and it is still early morning here on a Sunday!  lol!  Tahlia has now finished up her dance commitments for another year and we can finally relax and not worry about getting to dance 3-4 times a week! yay!  Last night she had her final dance concert.  It was a beautiful tribute to her teacher who, after six years of teaching Tahlia to dance, is leaving to go to the US.  *very sad face*

Anyway... Today I wanted to share a little Bella BLVD.  The Saturday Sketch is live and I got the chance to play along!

Here's my take on the sketch...

"Splash"

products used: cs - Stampin' Up, Kaisercraft; pp - Bella BLVD (Kiss Me); alpha - Bella BLVD; other - Bella BLVD: designer tapes & stickers; tools - typewriter, machine stitching, black pen.

I've turned the sketch on it's side and created a feature out of the designer tapes.  The tapes were adhered to white cardstock before being added to the layout.  If you would like to see a few more details, head on over to the Bella BLVD website.

Bella BLVD | Saturday Sketch..

Hi Everyone!  I'm back to share with you another layout created for Bella BLVD.  This fun and slightly c.r.a.z.y layout was inspired by both the gorgeous Kiss Me collection AND the Saturday Sketch! phew!  What a combination..!  hee hee...

Here is the sketch ...

And my layout...

"Mr 6"

products used: cs - kaisercraft, bazzill; pp - Bella BLVD (kiss me); alpha - Bella BLVD: high five alphabets(blue, brown+cream); other - Bella BLVD: Kiss Me Alpha+Bits, vellum, bakers twine, ink, foam tape; tools - machine stitching, typewriter.

My fun loving boy has quite the imagination!  On the day he decided to "grow" a moustache, I was playing with Kiss Me!  He asked me, ever so sweetly, if I could give him a moustache from the Bella BLVD paper collection.  So I did.  Except not quite what he was expecting! :)  Instead of handing him paper, I just painted one straight onto his upper lip!  LOL! Then of course I couldn't let this photo opportunity to slip by!  *grin*

Head on over to the Bella blog to check out what the other DT members created!  And then, if you are inspired to play along, don't forget to post your LOs to the Bella BLVD facebook page.  Thanks for visiting..x

Create...

I'm not sure what happened to this layout.... It was meant to feature two weeks ago in the Saturday Sketch section over at Kaisercraft.  Somehow, somewhere...it got lost in cyber space!  LOL!!  Anyway...  Since it was for the month of May, I'm sure it is now safe to share.  If not... whoops!!  hee hee..x

{Egg Collector}

It was meant to be a double page layout...but I just couldn't bring myself to follow the sketch in its entirety! LOL!!  I thought I'd better stay reasonably true to the sketch provided... as I've been know to stretch the truth a little when it comes to these things! bwahahaha!! That's creativity for you!  You just gotta go where it takes you.  And half of a sketch is better than something that looks completely and utterly different to the original! IYKWIM....  Well.... that's what I'm saying... hee hee

Anyway, this layout is an obvious Easter one! The gorgeous Party Animals collection from Kaisercraft was perfect for this little series of photos of Cam, taken outside of Grandma and Granddad's house.  Moriah was there too, but she didn't want to get in the photos with Cam.  :)

And can you tell, I was having fun playing with different shaped banners and flags???

So... What do you think?  Please let me know.  I really appreciate your comments.  Thanks for visiting...x

Can you tell that I really, really love the latest collections from Kaisercraft?? The "Nan's Favourites" collection is just divine, so when I had to come up with a layout for this sketch...

... I didn't go much further than what was already on my desk! LOL!!

{Love Handmade}

Okay... If you can't see the sketch in there... I've actually turned it upside down and then mirrored it!! So if you can't see it... I don't blame you! LOL!

Why not head on over to the Saturday Sketch challenge and see what you can come up with. Good luck....x

Create...

Today over at Kaisercraft, we are showcasing the fabulous Bubblegum Hills collection and the super sweet flutterby embellishments.

It is my turn to create a layout and I couldn't go past my photos from a Spring fair we attended last year!
{Spring Carnival}
If you are heading that way, please leave me some love! LOL!! I'm feeling a little bit left out! Ha! No. Not really. But I do appreciate the lovely comments.

Also while there, please check out the monthly sketch challenge. You can win some awesome prizes. Kaisercraft is incredibly generous and they are open to sending prizes overseas as well!! Yay!!

This is my take on last month's sketch #3:

{Beautiful Friends}

The two Tahlias! hee hee! Aren't they sweet.

Create...

Wow! We are up and running at Kaisercraft.... Today is sketch day and this is my layout based on the Kaisercraft sketch (found in the free workshop magazine).

{The Last}

I wanted to add "newborn" to the title (as these photo's were taken almost 12 months ago!!!) but unfortunately, I ran out of time before we went to the beach.

Go and check out what the Kirsty and Lesley have created with the same sketch. They are sooo clever!
