Jillibean Soup | Life is Good...

Hello Friends! Thanks for staying with me this week as I share some of my Jillibean Soup layouts from the past few months.  The layout I am sharing today was created from the Spicy Social Soup collection.

products used: cs - American Crafts; pp - Jillibean Soup (Spicy Social Soup); other - Jillibean Soup: pea pod parts, soup labels, clear stamps; tools - typewriter, ink.

Some of my favourite products from Jillibean Soup are the Pea Pod Parts.  Otherwise known as die-cuts! The ones from the Spicy Social Soup collections are especially fun and can be applied to so many different situations!

Here I've used them to enhance the story between my teen & tween! I have built them up in layers both on and around my photo.  I've even included some soup labels (stickers) and fussy cut elements from the patterned papers.

Another fave product that I've used on my page are the clear stamps.

The hashtag stamps will win me over every. single. time!

Thanks again for visiting me here today. Please come back tomorrow for my final Jillibean Soup Lovefest instalment - cards!

Scraptastic Club | Pinterest Inspiration...

Hi Everyone!!!  Today over at the Scraptastic Club blog, I am sharing a layout inspired by this gorgeous image.

This string of light bulbs got me thinking of all those cliché phrases... and everyone of those phrases reminded me of my oldest son.  *grin*

"I Love His Creative Mind"

products used: cs - Kaisercraft; kit - Scraptastic Club Kit.

I chose to work with this month's gorgeous Daylight Kit.  The coordinating stamp sets just so happened to have a light bulb included!! yay!!

Scraptastic Club's Daylight Stamp Set

I stamped the images onto white cardstock. When I did this, I masked off certain areas of the stamp so I could use different coloured inks.  With the "yellow" light bulb, I also used gold embossing powder.

Mounting the fussy cut images just adds to the layering effect I was looking for.

This boy can drive me crazy!!  LOL!  His quick wit can either frustrate me to tears or bring me into fits of laughter.  Either way, I adore him.  And I'm pretty sure his teacher's at school appreciate his sense of humour... although... some days I'm not sure why! *grin*  Until I get a note home that doesn't say "Love his humour" I don't think I'll stress overly much about that fine line he dances on..

Thanks for visiting today...x

Hampton Art | Mr Smarty..

Oh dear! I have totally lost track of time and haven't shared my layout created for Hampton Art this month!  It was posted on March 6. March 6!!! That's a big ooops on my part but I guess better late than never.

*bashful grin?*

This month I wanted to use a full sheet of letter stamps without the hassle of individually placing them on an acrylic block.  My solution..? A simple paintbrush loaded with water.   :)

You guys are pretty clever and have already figured it out, but if you would like to know more, please visit the Hampton Art blog for the details.  *grin*

Hampton Art | Cards...

Hello Lovely Friends!  Today I have a scrappy share for Hampton Art.  I made these two cards for my friend's twin daughters.  They are so, so cute (as all little four year old girls should be!) and I wanted these cards to reflect that.  *grin*  And because they are twins I wanted to create two individual looking birthday cards  but still be cohesive to each other.... Maybe I put too much thought into the creative process! LOL!!!

Anyway.... here they are.

"You're Awesome"

products used: cs - Kaisercraft; pp - KI Memories; stamps - Hampton Art | Bella Blvd; Ink - Archival; other - Kaisercraft rhinestones; tools - silhouette portrait, machine stitching.

"Just for You"

products used: cs - Kaisercraft; pp - KI Memories; stamps - Hampton Art | Jillibean Soup; Ink - Archival; other - Kaisercraft pearls; tools - silhouette portrait, machine stitching.

Please visit the Hampton Art blog if you would like to see my step by step process.  Plus there is a bonus card on the blog there, that I created for Valentine's Day.  Thanks so much for visiting...x

Hampton Art | You are no. 1...

Hi Everyone! I've been playing around with stamps a lot lately, thanks mostly to the wonderful DT opportunity at Hampton Art.  Most of the time, I have no clear idea what I am going to create until I have those stamps on paper.  But sometimes I have an idea stuck in my head and I play until I see the result on paper to match.  *grin*

This card I am sharing today was a little bit like that... an experiment!  LOL!  A simple-in-design experiment!

"You are No.1"

products used: stamps: Hampton Art for Echo Park - "About a Boy" (SC0526); "Scoot" (SC0528)
ink: Archival Ink (jet black); VersaMark (watermark).

other - cardstock, acrylic paint, clear embossing powder, post-it notes, soft paint brush.

I am just getting the hang of this embossing business too!  LOL!  Yes.  I know I am late to the party.  But I can now say I am have quite a bit of fun with it.  However, the next tool on my wish list to purchase will be a heat gun.  *grin*  Currently I am still hovering my cardstock over the toaster just to melt the embossing powder!!!

For the full tutorial, please visit here.  But it is fairly simple and I am sure you can work it out from the photos...x

Thanks so much for visiting...x
