Merry & Bright...

Hello!  I am working on so many Christmas projects at the moment, it feels like my head should be spinning!  LOL!  But with 60-odd days until the jolly, big man arrives I know that I won't get a lot of it completed.  sigh..   So I am making the most of my time while the kids are still at school.  :)

Today I can share a layout completed from my wonderful DT kit sent to me from The Scrapbook Store.  This has an older photo on it but the image is still one of my all time favourites..

"Merry & Bright"

products used: cs - kaisercraft, core'dinations; pp - MME (winter Wonderland); other - MME: layered stickers & 48 enamel dots, Fancy That Dies: mixed leaves, brad, bakers twine, mister huey's color mist, ink: versacolor, The Crafter's template; tools - typewriter, circle punches, machine stitching.

I am totally in love with the layered stickers from MME.  Especially the little house.  :)  To me, the two houses represent the travelling we do at Christmas time.  It is a nineteen hour drive to get to my mother's house and we usually travel there every second year.  This was obviously Cameron's first Christmas and like I mentioned earlier... one of my favourite photos.  ever. *grin*

Thanks so much for visiting.  I hope your holiday projects are progressing along nicely.  I'm about to start work on my December Daily soon.  Wish me luck..x

Create + Pretty Little Studio...

Hello Friends.  Today I am playing catch up with PLS.  LOL!  I have a few layouts that have been released over at the blog and I am keen to share with you here.  :)

Firstly, if you are a sketch-aholic, like me... You might want to play along with the latest sketch release - #34.

And this is my take on it...

[play]

products used: cs - kaisercraft; pp - PLS (antique store collection) other - PLS: scallop circle, journaling heart, restruant journaling cards, train check ticket (red), word flashcards; glimmermist; kaisercraft clear stamp; stampin' up ink; nikki sivils number sticker; typewriter; string; felt; sizzix diecut (love heart); staple.

okay... So you are thinking.. where is the resemblence to the sketch????!  hee hee.. It is there.  I promise.  Just rotate the sketch 90 degrees.  There.  Do you see it now?!  LOL!

I can also share my layout featuring the new collection, Winter Wonderland.  Now, living in the sub-tropics, we don't get to see a lot of snow.  In fact I have only seen it twice and the kids... well, they got to see snow for the first time July, 2011.

[brrrr]

products used: cs - kaisercraft; kraft; pp - PLS (winter wonderland); other - PLS: notebook brackets journaling card, paper ribbons, document winter paper ribbons, PLS packaging; machine stitching; kaisercraft rhinestone; mister huey's mist; tim holtz distress ink; versacolor ink; staple; back embroidery thread; black pen (sharpie).

I think I have a new love for a white cardstock base and a few flicks of paint/mist.  Thanks for visiting..x

Create...

How about a little IB double inspiration??? I know it a is a busy/crazy/hectic/INSANE time of year so why not make it easier on yourself.... :D Especially if you have the urge to scrap!!!

Check out Sketch #62:

Here's what I came up with...

{The Christmas Out-takes}

journaling: "My Favourite Christmas Memory" It always seems impossible to get a decent photo of you guys and now that there are four of you - harder still! But I am so glad that we try. Even if I get the bored looks and the silly faces... Because every now and then there is a gem among the out-takes! One that shines with personality and fun. These photos are the ones that will make us smile...

OMGosh!! I know we all have attempted the little in-house photo shoot and all have those extra photos that become the out-takes... Some of you super-dooper clever readers of my blog, probably have way more success than me, in capturing the perfect photo too! LOL!! But I do love going through the out-takes! I guess it makes me happy that I don't need to bribe the kids to sit there for me! (Well for now at least!)

These photos were taken last year! hee! You should see the ones from this year!!! *yikes* Cam is a lot more mobile! LOL!! Happy scrapping...x
