Up on the Jillibean Soup blog today we are showcasing our regular Cards on Monday.  I've really got into the Christmas spirit this December using plenty of Christmas product for all of the design teams I work for.  Jillibean Soup has the most gorgeous die cuts (Pea Pod Parts!!) in their new Christmas Cheer Chowder collection.  I just love them.  And here is my warning... I've used them on all. my. projects. this. month! *grin*  But for today I am only going to share with you this card..

"Ho Ho Ho" card

products used: cs - Kaisercraft; pp - Jillibean Soup; other - Jillibean Soup: Pea Pod Parts:  Christmas Cheer Chowder, Placemats:  White Merry Frames; tools - foam tape, Fancy That Dies (small bow).

Isn't that little die cut snow globe cute!! I've mounted it onto some foam tape to lift it from the patterned paper.  So I hope, with a little inspiration, you are all starting to get into the Holiday Spirit as well.  Thanks for visiting..x

Life.Paper.Scrapbook | December sketch & DT Call...

Hello Friends.  Today LPS is sharing the new sketch reveal for December.  The team has done a spectacular job creating beautiful examples..

I've decided to keep my December relatively simple.  Especially with my creative projects and with this in mind, chose to create cards this month instead of layouts.  Besides... I like to have those extra Christmas cards handy.  Don't you?  *grin*

products used: cs - Kaisercraft; pp - Bella Blvd (Christmas Countdown); alpha - Bella Blvd; other - Bella Blvd: paper pieces; Jillibean Soup twine, Kaisercraft rhinestones; tools - FTD leaves.

Our sponsor this month is Pink Fresh.  Here's a little bit about them...

Pinkfresh Studio is a fresh online shop committed to provide very unique and fun products. They offer their own exclusive range of washi tapes including very unique ombré prints, trendy shaped enamel stickers, brad stickers and fresh press cards in fun colors. Their ombré print washi tapes with beautiful airmail print and Aztec print are sure to make your paper crafting projects pop. They recently released their 1st ever stamp set called “Delightful tales”. But they don’t stop there, they are about to release their another fun product and it is going to be color blocked wood veneers in 3 different shapes (triangles, hearts and arrows).  This month's prize is $30 worth of Pink Fresh goodies!

You have to be in it to win it, so link up your project on the right side of the LPS blog. Please make sure you link to the correct challenge, there is both a sketch and colour challenge to link up to. If you are linking to a blog, please link to the actual post the layout is featured in, not just the general address, and make sure you link back to Life.Paper.Scrapbook.

Here are the details:

- You can use the sketch and colour challenges together, just make sure you link it up to each so you have a chance to win in both.

Jillibean Soup | Falling in Love...

Hi there friends!  I have a layout share for you today that featured on the Jillibean Soup blog late last month.  whoops!  I am a little behind.  Sorry about that.. :D

"Falling in love with You"

products used: cs - Kaisercraft; pp - Jillibean Soup; alphas - Jillibean Soup; other - Jillibean Soup: hexies, flashcards; tools - typewriter, FTD (mixed leaves), hole punch.

I wanted to document Cameron's latest habits.  At four years of age, I know this time is fleeting. His speech will start to change, his favourite toys will definitely alternate and the sleep deprivation will one day disappear too.  But for now.  I just wanted to document the little things.  The things that are "everyday" right now.

Thanks for visiting...x

Bella Blvd | Pinterest Inspiration..

Hello Friends.  I am doing a little scrapbook house keeping today and catching up with some Bella Blvd.

This month I was challenged to use an image of leaves, as a source of Pinspiration for my layout.

I fell in love with the ombre colours and of course had to use leaves on my page as well.  I mixed it up with a selection Bella collections, all of which work and coordinate so well together...

 "Happy Camper"

products used: cs - Kaisercraft; pp - Bella Blvd; alpha - Bella Blvd; other - Bella Blvd: chipboard, stickers; studio calico mist; tools - Fancy That Dies (leaves), typewriter.

One of my boys' favourite activities when camping, is to run through piles of leaves as they go crashing through the bush.  This always worries me though, because of the high number of deadly snakes and spiders (wherever we go camping) that could be lurking beneath the leaf litter!  My only consolation is that these boys they make so.much.noise. that any creature, deadly or otherwise, will disappear well in advance of my boys getting near them!  Fingers crossed anyway!

If you would like to see how some of the other DT members were inspired by this same image, please visit Bella Blvd here.  Thanks so much for visiting ..x

..........................................................................

While I am doing some house keeping, I thought I would share this awesome free printable created by Stephanie,  owner & creator of Bella Blvd.

She had such a huge response to her first Thanks Giving giveaway in 2011, that she wanted to do it all again, with an updated version!  Stay tuned to her blog in the coming days, because you will be able to download the new version for FREE.  Check out the 2011 version here.  It really is super cute!

Bella Blvd | Art Instagram...

Hi Everyone!  We are back after a long weekend camping adventure and I can't wait to scrap some of the photos that were taken!  The weather here is finally warming up but let me tell you, the nights are still freezing, especially when you go camping without extra blankets!  *grin*

Today I wanted to share with you my layout that is up on the Bella Blvd blog.  Bella has some new features planned for the month to help kick start your creativity.  Today is the Monday Morning Challenge - focus on the square. My Inspiration? The humble Instagram square...

"Art Instagram"

products used: Bella Blvd: Spring Flings & Easter Things: Mom's Bouquet; All American: Borders & Cute Cuts, United We Stand, Just Write Journaling, Alpha+Bits; Sand & Surf: Cling Stamps; Freestyle Sophisticates: Freestyle Pickle Juice, Freestyle Banana; High Five Alpha Stickers: Black-White, Pink-Red; Sophisticates: Miniatures Card Sentiments; Ciao Chip Elements: Borders, Clouds, Essentials Asparagus& Pickle Juice; Sienna Chipboard Alphas: Pickle Juice; cs - Kaisercraft; tools - paper clip, Fancy That Dies, black pen, mist, ink.

I love Instagram for sharing my photos with family and friends and I especially love that I can share my children's artwork online without having to email each item separately, to each individual grandparent!

This layout is inspired by the Instagram process and documents my son's favourite piece of artwork to date. I have included hidden journaling beneath the main photo, but to find the story you need to follow the arrows!

The main photo flips open to reveal the journaling.  The flap works simply, by placing designer tape along the joining edge.  You could also just have an extended piece of patterned paper and fold it in half, but I wanted to use two different paper patterns.  *grin*

The "Art Instagram" label/title has been created by trimming down one of the All American: Just Write Journaling Stickers, to fit my size page. I've fussy cut the heart image from the All American: Borders & Cute Cuts patterned paper and added alpha stickers as the finishing touch.

Finally, since the focus of my story is Ethan's Solar System/Planet Earth artwork, I finished off the page by adding a die cut globe.  Yep.  I know it's not square!  LOL!  But I love that it has Australia on it and it makes the embellishment a little more personal for me.

I hope you will join us over at the Bella blog to see some more of the design team's challenge entries.  Thanks so much for visiting..x

Jillibean Soup | Lost...

Hello Friends!  I've been away on a little Western Queensland adventure with my family for the first part of the school holidays, meeting up with my mother in a little town called Miles.  The kids had a great time exploring, even after a five hour drive to get there... :)

But we didn't get "lost" out there.  What I want to share with you today is a layout featured on the Jillibean Soup blog.

"Lost"

products used: cs - Kaisercraft; pp - Jillibean Soup; alpha - Jillibean Soup; other - Jillibean Soup: stickers, wooden flags, twine, die cuts; October Afternoon sprinklers;  tools - machine stitching, typewriter.

Master Seven can become so engrossed in whatever game he is playing on his hand-me-down iPod, that he becomes lost to the world!  I love that he loves technology but there is only so much that I will let him become immersed in... And so his time spent on it is very much treasured!  LOL!

I also want to share this card created for Jillibean too...

products used: cs - kaisercraft; pp - Jillibean Soup; other - Jillibean Soup die cut, resin flower, ink; tools - Fancy That Dies die (bow).

Can you tell I love this collection of blues, yellows and greens!  sigh.... :)

Please don't forget to check out the amazing DT over at Jillibean Soup today.  There are some fun projects being posted!!  Thanks so much for visiting..x

Greatest View | Remember This..

Hello Friends and welcome to the Greatest View Style It Up Week

I just wanted to share with you all a layout I created for the Greatest View blog today.  This layout started out as a normal scrapbooking page documenting Tahlia's habits at the moment.  But suddenly it transformed, with a bit of a reflection, on what happened earlier this week when my husband, daughter and daughter's friend were involved in a car accident.  They are all okay now, thank goodness, even though Tahlia was in hospital overnight... :(

"Remember This"

products used: cs - kaisercraft, DCWV; pp - Echo Park, Crate Paper, Bella BLVD; Greatest View - In Style badges/flairs, yellow chevron ribbon, pink twine, free printable journaling tags; other - Bella BLVD designer tape, Manor House flowers, kaisercraft mini blooms & pearls, October Afternoon Sprinklers (midway - token); tools - Fancy That Dies (Moroccan wall), black pen (sharpie) ek success border punch.

If you would like to know more of the story behind this layout AND get some free printable journaling tags, please visit Greatest View.  Thanks so much for visiting..x

Jillibean Soup | cards...

Hello Friends.  Things should start picking up around here soon.  :)  This is the last week of Summer holidays for the kids and we are currently being very busy, getting back into "back to school" mode.  Today I even went and collected Tahlia's new uniforms for high school.  eeeeeek! They fall off her a little bit (and that's with the extra small shorts!) and it reminds me all over again of her first day at pre-school.. :(  sigh.

Anyway.. onto some scrappy shares.  Today, I have some cards to share with you that have been posted over at the Jillibean Soup blog

It's the weather for it here in Australia.  And we have been sharing a lot of picnics this Summer Holiday season. :)

And then there is this belated Christmas card..

Belated because it was held over on the blog due to some exciting CHA sneak peeks!  So let's just call this a really early Christmas card instead and be done with it!  LOL!!

Head on over to Jillibean and check out what the other DT members have been creating!!  So many gorgeous projects to look at!!  Thanks for visiting..x

Fancy That Dies | Hexagons..

Hello Friends.  Today I am sharing my last post for The Papercraft Hub and their fantastic range of dies - Fancy That Dies.  Sadly I have had to say goodbye to this design team, but I will definitely continue to use the dies!!

"photo favourite"

products used: cs - kaisercraft; pp - kaisercraft, Bella BLVD; Fancy That Dies - Hexagon wallpaper, dipsy daisy, frilled blossom, scalloped floret, swirly leaf, butterfly quartet, scalloped rolled rose; other - Autumn Leaves clear stamp, Girls Paperie cardstock stickers, skewer, Greatest View sequins, washi tape.

The hexagon wallpaper has made a fun and flirty background while the extra girly touch comes from the flowers, cut from  four different dies - dipsy daisy, scalloped rolled rose, scalloped floret & frilled blossom.  I love how easy it is to mix and match the dies!  And still have a great result!

The Papercraft Hub has a gorgeous selection to choose from.  I have used seven different ones on this layout alone.  Why not head on over to the website and check them all out.  Thanks for visiting..x

Fancy That Dies | Explore...

Hi Everyone!  I have a confession to make.  I have had this photo sitting in my "to-scrap" pile for quite a while.  Circa 2009.  Before Cam was born.  *grin*

I always knew I wanted to scrap about Liam and Tahlia exploring the beach but I just kept putting it off for some reason...

When I got this fantastic Fancy That Dies - Retro Globe and Stand, the entire layout just came together so easily.

"explore"

products used: cs - Kaisercraft; pp - Authentique; Fancy That Dies - Retro Globe and Stand, Ginko Flourish, Film Strip, Zippity-do-da, Frilled Blossoms; alphas - My Favourite Things - Die-namics (By the Letter); other - Girls' Paperie cardstock stickers, GV sequins, black pen (sharpie); tools - machine stitching.

The globes actually come as a three pack + stand (as seen here).  I love that Australia is featured on one of the dies and that Tasmania hasn't been left off the map!  :)

To complete my layout, I've added a mix of other Fancy That Dies, to the top and bottom edges of the page.  The Ginko Flourish has been turned on its side in hopes that it looks a bit like drift wood and the Frilled Blossom is representing the sun!  LOL! Creative licence.. :)

If you would like to see more ideas on how to use these dies, head on over to The Papercraft Hub.

Thanks for visiting..x
