Jillibean Soup | Family...

Hello Friends!  This week I am having a little Jillibean Soup Lovefest! *grin* I have a few layouts to share that have somehow slipped under the radar!  Eeeek!  SO I have decided that I will take it upon myself to correct this error over the next few days.

First up I want to share with you these fabulous wire words!

I use them regularly and in fact, I've almost gone through all of the ones I have in my stash! They are quite delicate, light weight and I love to attach them directly to my layouts using a strategically placed cross stitch or two.

"Family"

products used: cs - American Crafts; pp - Jillibean Soup (Birthday Bisque); other - Jillibean Soup: wire words, mini placemat, wood sprinkles, enamel stars, wooden nickles, soup labels, kraft tape; embroidery thread; tools - typewriter.

I also love using them in lieu of alpha titles.

Thanks for visiting me here today!  I hope you will re-join me tomorrow for some more Jillibean Soup love...x

Jillibean Soup | Halloween Treat boxes...

Hello Trick or Treaters! Today I have a little 'Off the Page' project to share.  And when I say little, I actually mean matchbox size, little!

Our Designer Challenge this month for Jillibean Soup, was to create some Halloween Décor.  I've been playing with the wonderful 6x6" mini paper pads and suddenly, like magic!!!, I had created a little box for treats.  I will use these to give to the rare visitor who comes knocking on our door at Halloween.  *grin*

products used: pp - Jillibean Soup mini paper pads (Owloween Stew, Witches Brew); other - Jillibean Soup: wood veneer (Halloween), enamel stars, pea pod parts (Halloween), beanstalks; ink; tools - matchbox template via Pinterest.

They are quite easy to make, especially if you like origami.

I found this free template online from Pinterest, printed it out and followed the instructions (download and instructions found via the link above).

After creating the boxes, you can decorate using all the fun bits and pieces from Jillibean Soup's Halloween collections! I've used the enamel stars, miniature tags from the peapod parts and the perfectly sized wood veneers!

All that's left to do then, is to fill them with something yummy... or scary! LOL! That's your choice, but I'm thinking a fake finger could be funny, especially if they were given to my prankster sons! HA!

Finally wrap the boxes with some beanstalk twine and keep out of reach of children (or husbands) who want to eat the treats before they should!  Thanks for visiting..x

ps - How cute would these little boxes be, created from Christmas themed patterned papers and all lined up as an advent calendar!  The ideas are endless!
