Bella Blvd | Pinterest Inspiration...

Hi Everyone!  I am back this week with another Bella Blvd Pinterest Inspired layout and it has everything to do with sequins!

Last week I created a very masculine page.  This week and with these colours, I've gone very feminine.  Besides, surely you can't have sequins in an Inspiration Photo and NOT go girly!  LOL!

"Easter Prayer"

products used: cs - Kaisercraft; pp - Bella Blvd (Molly, Lucky Starz); alpha - Bella Blvd; other - Bella Blvd: stickers; sequins, embroidery floss; tools - hand stitching, foam tape.

The colour palette (minus the purple) and the sequins dominated my thought process when creating this layout.  Even the way the colour strips were added to the Inspiration photo, I pulled into the layout but in a horizontal way rather than vertical.

The fussy cut flowers and stars create a beautiful feature on the layout which balances my square black and white photo.  The sequins are just an added bonus!  I love sequins!! *grin*  And the pink and silver subtly entwined with the fussy cut element s creates a magical trail of sparkle across my page.

If you would like to see what the other designers created with this Inspiration photo, please head on over to the Bella Blvd blog.  Thanks for visiting...x

Life.Paper.Scrapbook | December Colour challenge...

Hello Friends.  This is my last challenge with Life.Paper.Scrapbook.  It has been a pleasure to create with this amazing and talented team of beautiful scrappers!! They have been a source of inspiration, encouragement and simply wonderful friendship.  I am so glad to have gotten to know them.  :)

This month's colour challenge is stunning!  Check out the inspiration...

I've created another card this month to coordinate with our colour challenge.  With December being ridiculously busy (!!!!), I just wanted to simplify things.  *grin*

I created this card not long after I attended Heidi Swapp's MakePrettyStuffDownUnder tour!  Can you see her inspiration/influence? LOL!  I certainly broke out my new colorshine mist.

This month's sponsor is Big Picture Classes, and the class is Project Real Life.

Jillibean Soup | Elfvis...

Hello Friends.  It's starting to look a little like Christmas around here.  Christmas patterned papers and embellishments are starting to hit my scrapping desk and I have this overwhelming urge to use it! *grin*

The new Christmas Cheer Chowder from Jillibean Soup is a clear favourite in our house at the moment.  And I have created with it to celebrate the arrival of our little "elf" friend who came to visit us, for the first time, last year.

"Elfvis"

products used: cs - Kaisercraft; pp - Jillibean Soup; alphas - Jillibean Soup; other - Jillibean Soup: flashcards, epoxy buttons, cardstock stickers, die cuts (pea pod parts & placemats), twine; sequins, mist; tools - black pen.

Elfvis Presently came by his name thanks to Liam.  Truly, I think he just wanted to say "Elfvis Presently is in da house!".  All the kids agreed and I must admit that both Mark and I had a bit of a laugh about the choice of name.  Needless to say, it suits him and our household humour.  *grin*

sidenote: Cameron wanted to include "Honey" in the name soooo... officially our Elf goes by the name: Elfvis "Honey" Presently.

I hope you will pop on over to the Jillibean Soup blog and see what the other amazing DT members have created for Layouts on Thursday.  Thanks for visiting..x

Bella Blvd | Pinterest Inspiration...

Hello Friends!  It's time for a little Bella Blvd Pinterest Inspiration today and this was something of a challenge for me!!  Laura always chooses awesome images and this photo is no exception.

However, we normally don't celebrate Halloween in our household, even though the idea of this particular "holiday" is becoming more popular in Australia in recent times.  And even if the photo can be interpreted away from the Halloween theme.. I can't escape the Autumnal colours!  Eeeeek!! We are experiencing Spring Down Under (even though it feels ridiculously like Summer!). *grin*

So how did I get around these challenges in the challenge? I chose fun photos taken in gorgeous afternoon light.  That solves everything right? *wink*

"Fun Can Happen Anywhere"

products used: cs - Kaisercraft; Bella Blvd - Snapshots: Snapshots Tabs; Trick or Treat: Happy Owlween; Finally Fall: Borders, At The Patch, Quadrants; Sand&Surf: Paradise; Bookplates: Everyday Bookplates; Sophisticates: Yellow High Five Alphabets; Crochet Hearts: Orange; Designer Tape: Pickle Juice Stripe Tape; other - embroidery thread (black), sequins; tools - silhouette portrait, black pen, foam tape.

My children have certainly had an eventful September/October school holiday this year.  We did so much and most of it was from the comfort of our own home! This particular day was all about the water fight!  Simple pleasures!! LOL!

If you would like to see a little more about the process of my layout, please visit Bella Blvd here.  You will also get to check out the other fabulous DT interpretations of the Pinterest Inspiration photo too.  Thanks so much for visiting..x

Life.Paper.Scrapbook | September Sketch...

Hello Friends.  Today I can share my layout created for the September Sketch over at Life.Paper.Scrapbook.  It suggests a lot of layers beneath those photos and I was willing to accommodate! :)  But I did mix it up a little by rotating the sketch to suit my photo.

"Epic"

products used: cs - Kaisercraft; pp - Teresa Collins (Memorabilia); Greatest View - woodgrain style badge/flair, chevron ribbon, gold thread, mini doilies; other - Teresa Collins: sequins, borders, cardstock stickers; WOW stencil hearts; Studio Calico: Mr Huey's Calico Shine, Glimmermist: sunflower; staples; tools - typewriter.

The patterned papers used to create this layout are from the new Teresa Collins collection Memorabilia.   They are a part of my September DT Kit for The Scrapbook Store.  All products can be found here.

I've also had a chance to play with the gorgeous WOW Alta Matz stencils: hearts in a row.  They are a lot thicker than most stencils or templates and lay on the cardstock quite flat.  No need to tape/adhere the stencil down.  I used Mr Huey's calico shine to create almost invisible hearts on the white cardstock and while it was still wet, quickly sprayed a yellow glimmermist directly over the white calico shine.  It created these speckled, ombre hearts.

This sketch was such an inspiration point that I loved putting together this layout.  If you would like to play along, (and I would love to see your interpretation) ...here are the details...

Greatest View | Cafe Club...

Hello Friends.  Today I am sharing a layout that's up on the Greatest View blog.  It is featuring the most gorgeous Woodgrain Style badges/flair!  And plenty of Elle's Studio Serendipity from The Scrapbook Store.

"Café Club"

products used: pp - Elle's Studio Serendipity; alpha - American Crafts chipboard thickers; Greatest View: wood grain style badge, sequins; other - Elle's Studio: Lil' Snipets, cutouts; Manor House flower vine, Zva Creative bling, twine, kraft tag, Kaisercraft pearls, shimmerz mist; tools - black pen, hole punch.

I've also used the rest of the Manor House flower vine that I cut up to use here.  The Zva Creative bling layered beneath the vine adds to the beauty of the flower.  And considering I'm not really "into" creating with flowers...! LOL!  I must admit that I do love these ones from Manor House.  I've used the hot pink (The Scrapbook Store have now sold out of this colour).

The Greatest View Woodgrain Style badges can also be found at The Scrapbook Store.  I love how they work perfectly with the Elle's Studio Serendipity collection.

The story? Well..  My daughter's paternal grandparents have always taken her to coffee shops and cafes since before she could walk.  *grin*  It is their little tradition and way of spending quality time together.  I wanted to document  this story even though I am not a part of their café club.  :)

If you would like to learn more about how I put this layout together, please visit Greatest View here.  Thanks so much for taking the time to visit me..x

Jillibean Soup | Muddy Puddles...

Hi Everyone.  I have a quick post today to share with you this layout created for Jillibean Soup

"Muddy Puddles"

products list: cs - Kaisercraft; pp - Jillibean Soup; alpha - Jillibean Soup; other - Jillibean Soup: clear stamps (large butterfly), Pea Pod Parts, Soup Labels, Wise Words; Greatest View sequins, OA mist; tools - machine stitching, black pen.

I have a gone through my stash and used quite a few left over strips of patterned paper.  They were simply arranged in fading colour and machine stitched straight onto the cardstock.  I wanted it to look a little messy as the photo shows my boy jumping in the mud!  *grin* And with that thought in mind, I also added the splashes of grey mist to the page...

From the above photo, you can see that I've mounted the photo onto foam tape to add dimension to my layout.  The wings on the butterfly have also been bent, just to add that extra depth as well.  The butterfly is a new Jillibean Soup clear stamp, available through Hampton Arts.

Now, don't forget to visit Jillibean Soup to see what some of the other DT members have created.  Thanks for visiting me here.  I really appreciate reading your thoughts..x
