The Scrapbook Store | File Folder mini album...

Hi Everyone!  Today I want to share a little project created for The Scrapbook Store.  My dear friend Kim Jeffress totally inspired me with her work for Heidi Swapp and I really wanted to try and make a file folder for myself.  In my DT kit for The Scrapbook Store this month, I found myself playing with the gorgeous Teresa Collins Memorabilia collection.  So far I have created three layouts and in among the leftovers I found the pack of four Teresa Collins Memorabilia file folders

Surprisingly, once I got started, it didn't take very long to put together,  I think the hardest part will be deciding which photos I should add to it.  *grin*

As you open the largest file folder, you will see that I have adhered the small horizontal file onto the left side (page 1).  Behind that file I have created a pocket which has allowed me to slip a homemade patterned paper tag into.  The front of the horizontal file folder has been embellished with seam binding, more patterned paper from Teresa Collins Memorabilia collection and a Greatest View badge/flair.

The second page has been layered with the medium file folder from the pack and the mini accordion album.

The front of these two files have been embellished with sequins and cardstock stickers, also found in the Teresa Collins Memorabilia collection.  Inside the accordion mini, I plan to have the kids journal about their everyday.  Once they have completed their journaling I will slip it into each space.  The other side will be for photos (1"x 2").

Inside this medium file folder (page 3), I have created an extra folder from two pieces of patterned paper (page 4).  The inside of the medium folder has been embellished with a glitter border strip.  The quote and Eifel Tower images are from this patterned paper

Inside the "extra" patterned paper file folder, I have added more of the glitter border strip to create an illusion, cohesive to the first border strip.  I also love that the chalk board paper will allow for either more photo/s or journaling, depending on what I end up using the album for! LOL!

The back of the album has been decorated with more of the cardstock stickers (sorry.. forgot to take a photo!) and I will add our family name to the centre of the back cover.

I really don't know why, I have put this method of creating a mini, off before now!  Truly, it was so easy to make.  Again I have to credit Kim Jeffress for the inspiration and encouragement to create it.

ps - Thanks to everyone who left kind messages of support in regards to the new Bella Blvd DT.  I can't wait to get stated on another exciting year of creating with them...x
