Bella Blvd | Pinterest Inspiration...

Hello Sweet Friends!  Today I am sharing with you my unusual take on Bella Blvd's Pinterest Inspiration this week.

products used: cs - Kaisercraft; pp - Bella Blvd: Scattered Sprinkles, Freestyle Sophisticates; Alpha - Bella Blvd; other - Bella Blvd: stickers, crochet hearts; black paint; tools - typewriter.

I think I went a little left of centre with this layout.  I took inspiration from the colours, like I usually do, but this time I took it one step further!  I wanted to replicate the long thin strips of paper, similar to the technique used to create the paper blooms.

I followed that up by layering with 'extra', thin, long strips of text from the Scattered Sprinkles sticker sheet.

The title and text are all about my eldest and youngest.  There is a nine year age gap between the two and sometimes they don't see eye to eye.  And then sometimes... well, they can't get enough of each other.  I love recording the different bonds each of my kids have with their siblings.  It changes so many times but there is always that subsequent undercurrent of sweetness and love towards each other.  *grin* Fingers crossed that it stays this way!!

And most of you know that I can't create a layout without journaling.  This time I've added a tab sticker (from the same sticker sheet mentioned above) to some white cardstock and simply slipped it under the photo.

I hope you will venture over to Bella Blvd if you get the chance and check out the other DT members takes on the Pinterest photo.  Thanks so much for visiting here today..x

Life.Paper.Scrapbook | Sketch Challenge...

Hello friends.  Just sharing with you today the release of the new Life.Paper.Scrapbook sketch challenge.

"frog"

products used: cs - Kaisercraft; pp - Glitz Design, Bella Blvd; alpha - Bella Blvd; other - Greatest View badge/flair; paper clips, Crate Paper cardstock stickers, Echo Park stickers, Simple Stories stickers, mist, Bella Blvd designer tape; tools - black pen.

As you can see, I have stayed fairly true to the sketch.  I had considered turning it on its side but these photos and that gorgeous quote from Glitz Designs patterned paper, work for me in this orientation.  :)

This month's sponsor for our sketch challenge is Studio Fourteen40.  Here is a little more info about this new Aussie company.

Studio Fourteen40 is an exciting new business who made their debut into the paper-craft scene in September this year. Owner and designer, Sandra Allan is ecstatic that her 'baby' generated so much interest and excitement within such a short time.

Sandra, who lives with her husband Matt and their three children in Melbourne, Australia has a keen eye for detail and a love of design and colour. Having worked within the industry and alongside some amazing talent, Sandra had a deep seeded dream to launch her own collection of scrapbooking embellishments and make her own mark on the industry, eventually taking the plunge and giving birth to Studio Fourteen40. ...

Whilst it is early days at Studio Fourteen40 and Sandra has 13 collections of tin button flairs released, there are plenty more on the drawing board. Sandra has grand dreams for her business and cannot wait to share more of her designs and release other embellishments into her line.
