World Card Making Day...

Hi Everyone!  I just wanted to pop in here quickly to share the cards I created for WCMD.  I have two to share.  The first is for Bella Blvd..

products used: cs - Kaisercraft; pp - Bella Blvd; alpha - Bella Blvd; other - Bella Blvd: crochet heart, button, cardstock stickers, flag; twine, sequins.

..and the second one is for Jillibean Soup..

products used: cs - Kaisercraft; pp - Jillibean Soup; alpas - Jillibean Soup; other - Jillibean Soup: cardstock stickers, twine.

Bella Blvd | National Scrapbooking Day...

Hi Everyone and welcome to the Bella Blvd National Scrapbooking Day blog share!! 

 

Our team was challenged to create a layout all about ourselves and trust me.. I found it much harder than it looks!  LOL!  It was really an open book when it came to what we scrapped about as long as it was about us. We could share what are our favourite things, or things that make me smile, or our top ten...whatevers!  You get the idea.  :) I decided I wanted to remind myself of the good stuff in my life.  The right here and now.  Here's what I came up with...

products used: cs - Kaisercraft; pp - Bella Blvd: Love & Marriage, Freestyle Sophisticates, Birthday Girl; alpha - Bella Blvd: Love & Marriage Alpha+Bits; other - Bella Blvd button (pink flowers), cardstock stickers & Designer Tapes (Yellow chevron, Blue chevron, Piggy Pink Stripe), Kaisercraft pearls, twine, mist, Greatest View petite doily, medium doily; tools - machine stitching, Fancy That Dies, home printer.

It is simple and basic.  And I need to have this as my mantra!  Family, friends, love and laughter, and of course scrapbooking!  *grin*

A little update | floods...

Hi Friends.  Just letting you know that we are experiencing some flooding in our area at the moment.  Nothing disastrous and scary like the 2011 floods but we have been without power/electricity for the last 22 hrs.  The water here is running off quickly but I thought I'd share a few photos of it around our house...

We live in a semi-rural area with a few little creeks on either side of us.  We are up on a slight rise so there is no danger of water flooding into our house.  These photos show that the water here is much lower that two years ago... see this blog post >>here<<.  But the rain and the wind were quite fierce this time around.  And all thanks to ex-tropical cyclone Oswald.

We are thinking of all the people who are and will be affected in the coming days, by this weather in Brisbane, Ipswich, Bundaberg & Gladstone.  I'm sure the "mud army" will rally once more even though so many Queenslanders are flood weary at the moment.

Bella BLVD!!!!!!

Squealllll!!!!!  Can you tell how excited I am to be a member of >>this<< fantastic Design Team??!! I have been happy dancing here in sunny Queensland, Australia for the last few days!  And adding the time difference for California, I'd say I've had a slightly longer wait! LOL!  no.. not really!

I really can't wait to be inspired by the gorgeous products from Bella BLVD and play along with this amazing group of talented scrapbookers.  sigh.... And if this is a dream... please DON'T wake me!  *grin*  I am already having so much fun!

Oh my!  I am still bouncing off the walls here! LOL!  A special congrats also to my fellow Aussies and friends Kim and Ebony!! September, 2012 has been an amazing month for me so far!  I can't wait to see what the next 12 months bring!! Woo Hooooooo!
