Jillibean Soup | Today...

Eeeek! And just like that... I am back online.  Sorry for the AWOL.  It is school holidays here at the moment and I have been entertaining the children.  In the meantime... My layout was shared over at Jillibean Soup.

"Today"

products used: cs - Kaisercraft; pp - Jillibean Soup (Cold Avocado Soup, Soup Staples II); other - Jillibean Soup: pea pod parts, clear stamps, flash cards, coordinating sticker shapes, sugar pick, bean stalks (twine); Greatest View ribbon; mist, ink, embossing powder; tools - typewriter.

This layout features the brand new collection, Cold Avocado Soup.  I adore the blue tones!  yay!!  And of course, I have used some more flashcards.  *grin*

My journaling was cut into strips and added straight to the back of the layout.

Better get back to the kids now!  Thanks for visiting..x

Hampton Art | You are no. 1...

Hi Everyone! I've been playing around with stamps a lot lately, thanks mostly to the wonderful DT opportunity at Hampton Art.  Most of the time, I have no clear idea what I am going to create until I have those stamps on paper.  But sometimes I have an idea stuck in my head and I play until I see the result on paper to match.  *grin*

This card I am sharing today was a little bit like that... an experiment!  LOL!  A simple-in-design experiment!

"You are No.1"

products used: stamps: Hampton Art for Echo Park - "About a Boy" (SC0526); "Scoot" (SC0528)
ink: Archival Ink (jet black); VersaMark (watermark).

other - cardstock, acrylic paint, clear embossing powder, post-it notes, soft paint brush.

I am just getting the hang of this embossing business too!  LOL!  Yes.  I know I am late to the party.  But I can now say I am have quite a bit of fun with it.  However, the next tool on my wish list to purchase will be a heat gun.  *grin*  Currently I am still hovering my cardstock over the toaster just to melt the embossing powder!!!

For the full tutorial, please visit here.  But it is fairly simple and I am sure you can work it out from the photos...x

Thanks so much for visiting...x

Jillibean Soup | Cards..

Hi Everyone!  Today I just wanted to share a few cards with you, created for Jillibean Soup.  Lately, I have a habit of creating cards from the off-cuts from my layouts!  *grin* Call it recycling if you must! But I just cannot abide to throw away healthy cardstock! LOL!!

This card is up on the Jillibean Soup blog today.  I had fun playing with this little double pinwheel.

"So Thankful"

products used: cs - Kaisercraft; pp - Jillibean Soup: Happy Camper Stew, Country Pumpkin Chowder, Soup StaplesII; other - Jillibean Soup: Soup Label, Beanstalks (orange twine); skewer, brads, ink.

These other cards are from last month!  whoops!  And again they have been made from the off-cuts of my 8.5" x 11" layouts.

"Many Thanks"

products used: cs - Kaisercraft; pp - Jillibean Soup; other - Jillibean Soup: Pea Pod Parts (die-cuts), Beanstalks (orange twine), Soup Labels, resin Sugar Pick; Kaisercraft pearls, ink; tools - embossing folder.

"Olivia"

products used: cs - Kaisercraft; pp - Jillibean Soup; alpha - Jillibean Soup: alphabeans; other - Jillibean Soup: corrugated shapes, Pea Pod Parts, Soup Labels; staples, ink; tools - corner rounder.

The extra bonus I get with creating from leftovers, is that the cards are small enough to slip straight into 4" x 4" Project Life pockets!  I've done this for Mother's Day, my children's birthdays and now Father's Day.  I love the personal touch  it gives my (very challenging to keep up-to-date) Project Life.  *grin*

Thanks so much for visiting and have a wonderful day...x
