Pebbles Inc | Guest Designer...

Hello Friends! Just wanted to pop on here and share my final project as guest designer for Pebbles Inc.  This was one of my favourite layouts, all because of my baby boy's cheeky facial expression!

These patterned papers and die cut ephemera just shout summer! I love the combination of stripes on this page. For more detail, please visit the Pebbles blog.

Pebbles Inc | Guest Designer...

Hello Friends! I'm just popping on here to share another layout created for Pebbles Inc. I was honoured to be asked back as a guest designer last month. They sent me the gorgeous new Oh Summertime! collection. I could not be any more thrilled! *grin*

Pebbles Inc | Guest Designer...

Hey Everyone! In July, I was asked to rejoin the Pebbles Inc blog as a guest designer! Of course I jumped at the chance to play along with my Pebbles friends. I was sent the new Oh Summertime! collection and it is simply divine!!!

I created three fun summer style layouts, one of which I will share with you today!

It's a special treat to get ice-cream for breakfast in our family, but it seems to have become a birthday tradition. Especially if your birthday is in January (our Australian Summer!).

Each element on the page was created using patterned paper. I love the chevron pattern to create a more masculine background out of these superb colours.

And the ephemera! Honestly, you just have to check it out for yourself. Visit the Pebbles blog here for more details.

Page Maps & Bella Blvd | Hello Smile...

This month, Bella Blvd is sponsoring the challenge over at Becky Fleck's PageMaps.  The Bella Blvd design team had the awesome opportunity to play along. This is the sketch Becky asked me to create with..

I love the vertical lines and the added interest of enamel dots! So.. This is the layout I ended up creating.

"Hello Smile"

products used: cs - American Crafts; pp - Bella Blvd (Color Chaos); other - Bella Blvd: enamel dots, stickers; paint; tools - machine stitching, typewriter.

I didn't want to go too crazy with the colour on this page, instead staying true to the hues found in the photo. The simplicity of the overall layout is what appeals to me the most.  And of course there's the story too. That look of pure tranquillity on my sons face, was soon abolished when his brothers decided they needed to jump on top of him in the pool!

sigh... boys.

Thanks for visiting.  I hope many of you got a chance to create last week end in celebration of (inter)National Scrapbooking Day!

Bella Blvd | Watermelon...

Hey there gorgeous people!  I just want to apologise for my absence of late.  It has been quite crazy in these parts recently and well, hopefully I am starting to get back on track with a few scrappy shares!

Today I want to start with a fun, Summery layout that is up on the Bella Blvd blog today.  We are starting to feel the effects of Winter here but not enough so we need to start wearing layers of clothing. In fact, with the freaky weather we're experiencing at the moment, it really does still feel like Summer.  Anyway... I digress...

"Watermelon"

products used: cs - American Crafts; pp - Bella Blvd (Color Chaos, Lucky Starz); Invisibles - Bella Blvd (Campout); alpha - Bella Blvd (All American); other - Bella Blvd: chipboard pieces, enamel dots, stickers; paint; tools - typewriter, machine stitching.

This week I was challenge to create a layout using the delightful Color Chaos collection and team it up with either Invisibles or Clear Cuts!

I had such a fun time putting this page together.  I simply layered clusters of patterned paper in a geometric formation (three - one for each of my boys) and used the Color Chaos collection to represent the watermelon! See the Bella Blvd blog here for my meaning. *grin*

I also chose an Invisible sheet from the Campout collection, which was hand cut to a similar size to the patterned paper, and then machine stitched to the background cardstock.  The chipboard watermelon, perfect for this story, comes from the Bella Blvd | All American collection.

Thanks for visiting me here today. I hope you will get the chance to check out the other amazing projects from DT members Christin & Corri over at Bella...x

Bella Blvd | What's New Wednesday...

Hi there!! I just wanted to pop in here before the weekend shows up, to share a layout I created for Bella Blvd this week.  Bella has a beautiful new Summer collection available called Summer Squeeze and while I am snuggling under the blankets here, I wanted to record a little bit of our family Summer.  But from a different perspective...

products used: cs - Kaisercraft; pp - Bella Blvd Summer Squeeze; alpha - Bella Blvd;  other - Bella Blvd: stickers, border scallops; gelatos, glimmermist, skewer; tools - foam tape, circle punches, typewriter, machine stitching.

My idea was to document the songs that were most popular over our Summer break. I wanted my layout to be fun and for it to emulate movement on the page with layered circles, stars and scallop borders.

The simple strip of typed text at the bottom of my layout, documents the most popular songs in our household, that were played over & over & over again... *grin*

Thanks for visiting.  I hope you have a lovely weekend in front of you...x

Jillibean Soup | Hello...

Hello Friends.  We are back online and on the grid.  :)  The electricity grid that is... The last four days has seen our little family in the dark due to the floods in Queensland.  The kids struggled somewhat... (mostly due to the high humidity and heat) but at least we were dry. And that is something I am very grateful for.

In the meantime, Jillibean Soup has shared some gorgeous cards from the DT.  Here  is mine...

products used: cs - kaisercraft; pp - Jillibean Soup: Coconut Lime Soup/Cumin; other - Jillibean Soup: Pea Pod Parts (Homemade 6 Bean Soup), Wood Flags (Hello), Kraft Tag (Small) & Bean Stalks (Turquoise Baker's Twine), distress ink; tools - border punch, Fancy That Dies (doily, card easel), machine stitching.

I wanted it to be a little bit 3D with the layers and I love the butterfly patterned paper (Coconut Lime - Cumin).  Don't forget to go over to the Jillibean Soup blog and leave some love! I'd love to see you there.  Thanks for visiting..x

The Scrapbook Store | House Rules...

Hi Everyone! Have you been enjoying all the photos of CHA - Winter 2013?  I must admit that I've been stalking Instagram and FB for sneak peeks and general photos of what's going on over there!! *grin*

Today I have another share created with my DT kit from The Scrapbook Store and my new toy

products used: cs - Kaisercraft; pp - Pebbles Inc (Family Ties); alpha - Jillibean Soup; other - Pebbles Inc Chips & Stickers (Family Ties); tools - Silhouette Portrait, foam tape, ink.

The Pebbles Inc - Family Ties paper collection is so much fun to play with! It's bright colours just lends itself perfectly to my quirky Instagram photo!  The "Subway Art" silhouette cut was one that I created by just playing around with the weld feature.

If you want to check out more of the fun patterned papers in this collection, head on over to The Scrapbook Store and order yours today!  It might be the motivation you need to scrap some more Summer fun photos!

Thanks for visiting..x

Stuck Sketches...

Hi Everyone!  What a whirlwind week it has been!  I have spent the last three days at the Brisbane Quilt and Papercraft Fair helping out at The Papercraft Hub's stand.

There were so many beautiful things to see!  Including the "wall of washi" tape I was standing next to for some of the time!  *grin*  Also, don't forget about the Design Team call over at The Papercraft Hub.  The call finishes soon and I don't want you to miss out!

........................................................

But today I want to share my layout created for the mid month Stuck?! Sketches challenge.  Here is the sketch...

and my layout...

"Bookends"

products used: cs - kaisercraft; pp - Bo Bunny, American Crafts; alpha - American Crafts (Amy Tangerine); other - Greatest View sequins, Bo Bunny brad, vellum, ink (versacolor), Mister Huey's color mist, staple; tools - Martha Stewart pinking circle, fiskars: small & medium circle punch, typewriter.

I have often referred to my eldest and youngest children as the bookends.  :) Not only do they have two other siblings (Liam and Ethan) between them, but Tahlia and Cam have the same hair and eye colouring as opposed to the other two.  hee hee... Does that make sense?  These two look alike, while the middle two resemble each other.  :)

As you can see from the sketch, I have really condensed it to suit my style.  Lots of layers and plenty of white space.

Please feel free to join in on the fun over at Stuck?!.  Paper Stories is this month's sponsor and there is a great prize up on offer!  So good luck if you are thinking of participating!  And thanks again for visiting..x

Hello Summer...

Yes, I know.  Down Under we are in the middle of Winter but I just miss the warmth sooo much! :)  I suppose it doesn't help when we have had quite a bit of rain lately as well. So.  What to do?  I start thinking about delving into my rather *ahem* large stack of un-scrapped photos from the past.. circa 2011!  haha.

"hello Summer"
