Create with Kaisercraft...

**warning - very long post with lots of creating going on!!** :D

Hi everyone! I just wanted to update my blog with a few Kaisercraft goodies! I have been really busy (mostly because I can't help playing with these products!) and because they are perfect for the "everyday" style layouts I create.

They are incredibly versatile and I think my favourite part about Kaisercraft is that you can easily mix and match collections. Don't get me wrong... The collections on their own are divine and provide heaps of inspiration, but every now and then I want to mix it up a little bit and use a product in a completely different way than the obvious. That's the fun part, right? That's creating.

Here's what I have so far....

Cards: This is the Lullaby collection. It has a pink side and a blue side. You can find my layout from this collection here. Both are equally delightful and makes card making a breeze! (Well for me anyway!! LOL)

{Congratulations}

pp - kaisercraft Lullaby collection: 6.5" paper pad. Other - kaisercraft: journal tag - lullaby, ink - antique blue, rub-ons - baby, pearl brad - soft blue; border punch; string.

{New Arrival}

pp - kaisercraft Lullaby collection: 6.5" paper pad. Other - kaisercraft: paper blooms - buttercream, organza ribbon - pink, ink - rose; cardstock.

Single layouts: The first layout was used as a challenge prompt at The Boxx. The fortnightly challenge I set, was to tear paper and then repair it! Heaps of fun and the challenge is still open. You can find details here.

{Cowboy}

pp - Kaisercraft (Nan's Favourites and Timeless); alphas - kaisercraft (alpha stickers - cream); other - butterfly punch; staples; stitching; ink (kaisercraft - sepia, versacolor - umber); paint - kaisercraft (sea breeze); brad - SEI; glimmermist (Tattered Angels - sunflower); paper tag and shape (kaisercraft); clear stamp (kaisercraft - tags, grunge); corrugated cardboard; calico; foam tape; string.

This second layout...wait for it... is just for fun!!! Yay! Quite a bit of journaling on this one and the die-cut cards and patterned papers from Class of 87 are a fun way to help record the details....

{Little School Boy}

pp - kaisercraft (Class of 87), 6.5" paper pad; alphas - kaisercraft alpha stickers - red, mini alphas - cherry red; other - kaisercraft: die-cuts, ink - sandstone; twine; toothpicks; sticker - crate paper; foam tape; black pen - sharpie; machine stitching; ink - versacolor.

Double Layout: Woo Hoo! I've even managed to squeeze in a double layout!! Crazy times huh?! hee hee... But again, I couldn't put these papers down. There is a little bit of everything in here - Timeless, Nan's Favourites, Class of 87, and even Chanteuse! I've added the little crochet doilies for some colour and to tie all the photos together.

{Every Journey}

cardstock - American Crafts; pp - kaisercraft (timeless, nan's favourites, class of 87, chanteuse); alphas - adorn it, collage press; other - doily (kaisercraft), ink (kaisercraft, versacolor), machine stitching, clear stamp - script (kaisercraft).

Mini albums: I love to have little keepsakes around the house. At the moment, however, they are out of reach of grubby, little boy hands!! LOL!! I love mini albums and I am fast becoming addicted to them - especially when they are so easy to make. This mini is going to be used to record Mother's Day, 2011. Nothing like getting in early and preparing! ha! Although I haven't got that much longer to wait.... *sigh* :)

{Cherish}

pp - Kaisercraft 6.5" paper pad (Chanteuse); Other - paint kaisercraft (antique white); ink (kaisercraft - sepia, versacolor - pinecone); string; album rings (kaisercraft - mocha); foam tape.

This next mini was created using only one piece of paper! Baby Shower has been designed for the kaisercraft photo display frame. I love how all the pieces, once cut up, can slot together to form a detailed little mini about a new baby. I've secured the pages using eyelets and a thin ribbon. It just seems to add a bit more to the whole baby theme.

{Welcome Baby}

pp- kaisercraft Lullaby collection: baby shower (p650), 6.5" paper pad (pp841). Other - kaisercraft: pearls - denium, pearl brads - soft blue, flowers - taupe, journal tags - lullaby, die cuts - lullaby, clear stamps - lullaby, ink - black & antique blue, rub-ons - lullaby boy; ribbon, eyelets, ink - versacolor, black pen, staple, foam tape.

BTP: Finally I've been playing with some ideas for an Easter Basket teacher's gift. I found an online tutorial on how to create an origami box and used a full 12 x 12" sheet of paper from Bubblegum Hills. I added some trim around the top of the box, a handle with lace and some pretty pink brads to hold it all together.

The kids' teachers were thrilled. That's all I can ask for - well.... that and the kids getting good grades! Only kidding. So far I haven't had to resort to bribery!! hee hee...

pp - kaisercraft (bubblegum hills); alphas - adorn it; other - kaisercraft: ink, die-cuts, lace; brads; foam tape.

So... I have been busy! LOL! Can you tell?? hee hee... It's been fun though. And I am on a roll. On top of these projects, I've been busy for Scrapboxx, Get Picky & Storyboard!! I'm in Scrappy Heaven! LOL!!

Gotta love school holidays, rainy weather and letting the kids spend the day in their pj's!!! Thanks for visiting....x
