Bella Blvd | Secrets of the Sea (BOY)...

Hey everyone! Bella Blvd have released some absolutely gorgeous collections lately. Have you had the chance to check them out???

This week I've been playing with SECRETS OF THE SEA. Heads up! There is both a boy version AND a girls one! How spoilt are we??!

I am going to say this straight off the bat!! I love these collections. Especially the boy one. It is so bright and fresh and fun and all the good stuff! *grin* I just want to play with it all. of. the. time!!

The paper pieces are a standout feature. For my latest layout, I think I could have added the entire packet!

I restrained myself though....  *wink*

Bella BLVD | Pinterest Inspiration...

Hello Friends! Today I wanted to share my layout created for Bella Blvd using an image from Pinterest as inspiration.  Currently I've been loving powerful and meaningful (to me) quotes. Typography is a design element that I also love to play with. Here's my inspiration...

My finished layout might not be anything like what you imagine I'd pull from the image, but these words were my starting point.

products used: cs - American Crafts; pp - Bella BLVD | Oh My Stars, Molly; alphas - IF Homespun, Tiny Text; other - enamel hearts, designer clips, ciao chip, tabbies, Treasures&Text stickers, Fundamentals stickers; tools - machine stitching, paper piecer, embroidery floss.

Head on over to the Bella blog for more details. Thanks for visiting..x

Page Maps & Bella Blvd | Hello Smile...

This month, Bella Blvd is sponsoring the challenge over at Becky Fleck's PageMaps.  The Bella Blvd design team had the awesome opportunity to play along. This is the sketch Becky asked me to create with..

I love the vertical lines and the added interest of enamel dots! So.. This is the layout I ended up creating.

"Hello Smile"

products used: cs - American Crafts; pp - Bella Blvd (Color Chaos); other - Bella Blvd: enamel dots, stickers; paint; tools - machine stitching, typewriter.

I didn't want to go too crazy with the colour on this page, instead staying true to the hues found in the photo. The simplicity of the overall layout is what appeals to me the most.  And of course there's the story too. That look of pure tranquillity on my sons face, was soon abolished when his brothers decided they needed to jump on top of him in the pool!

sigh... boys.

Thanks for visiting.  I hope many of you got a chance to create last week end in celebration of (inter)National Scrapbooking Day!
