Bella Blvd | Keys...

Hello Friends! Today I have a bold and bright share using the Bella Blvd Addison collection.

I created this layout with the idea of using all or most of my leftover scraps pieces that were sitting on my desk. The Addison collection is such a happy grouping of patterns and colours that I knew I wanted to use it in a celebratory way.

My daughter has recently passed her Learner's driving test which is quite a big deal for her! And I love that in this collection there was a die cut key!

I kept the photo black and white to allow the patterned paper to have a starring role. The strips of paper were also shaped to represent a city skyline with varying heights to create interest.

"Keys"
products used: cs - American Crafts; pp - Bella Blvd Addison; Alphas - Bella Blvd; embellishments - Bella Blvd: puffy stickers, paper pieces, stickers. other - staples, typewriter, paint.

The rest of the leftover paper strips have been layered with fussy cut images, stickers, puffy hearts or die cut paper pieces. My journaling was simply stapled to the bottom of the page and a few drops of paint complete the look of my layout. I am so glad to have now documented this milestone! Thanks so much for visiting..x

Bella Blvd | Secrets of the Sea mini album...

Hi Everyone! Today I want to share a project that I featured over on my Instagram for Bella Blvd. It's a mini album created using the Secrets of the Sea Boy collection. I love this 4x4 mini album size, as I can slip my Instagram photos straight in with minimal fuss!

I found my album's title quote on Pinterest and I think it suits this project perfectly!

"Bare Feet & Salty Hair"

products used: mini album - We R Memory Keepers 4x4 (black); pp - Bella Blvd (Secrets of the Sea Boy); alpha - Bella Blvd: Secrets of the Sea Boy Fundamentals; embellishments - Bella Blvd: Secrets of the Sea Boy Designer clips, paper pieces, puffy icon stickers; other - cardstock, machine stitching, typewriter.

Each 4x4 Instagram photo was mounted onto patterned paper and off set on the opposite page insert with a die cut paper piece, puffy sticker icon or a few notes  of journaling.

Some of my photos were posed but most of them are a capture of our family holiday in-the-moment snapshots.

The Bella Blvd Secret of the Sea boy collection was simply ideal for documenting our Summer holiday. I hope I have inspired you to also create a project using this collection the next time you pull out beach photos to scrap! Thanks so much for visiting..x

Bella Blvd | Delight in His Day mini album...

Hey Everyone!

I'm just checking in here with a quick step by step mini album using one sheet of cardstock and the super cute Bella BLVDIllustrated Faith | Delight in His Day collection!

This mini folds down to 4"x4". I will attach a copy of the Pinterest template I found on line as well as the instruction. The original blog post can be found here. This link is for the base mini album only.

Instructions are as follows:

First cut along all the lines (that are not dotted) and then fold:
A: fold top center to the right. apply adhesive to top and bottom edges of right square and attach to create a pocket.
B: fold down.
C: fold top left square down. Apply adhesive to right and bottom edges of center left square and attach to create a pocket. fold under center square.
D: fold to the right.
E: fold bottom right square to the left.
F: fold edge of square to the right on 1" mark. apply adhesive to flaps to create two pockets.
G: fold bottom left square to the right.
Fold up to close.

Once the base cardstock mini has been created, I have added 3.75" squares of patterned paper to each 4"x4" section. Keep in mind though as you fold the card, to line up the patterned papers so they don't appear upside down as the mini is opened.

Folding the mini back to the 4"x4" size can be a little tricky. It might take a few tries to get it to lay flat or find the right way to fold it in on itself. *grin* I had to this attempt several times!

Finally embellish using the gorgeous paper pieces from Delight in His Day and those fun puffy heart stickers!!

I have left room in this mini for several photos measuring 3"x2", but I am sure you can easily substitute a 4"x4" paper for a square Instagram photo.

Have fun putting your album together! Once you have all the supplies sitting in front of you, it takes next to no time to create.  Thanks for visiting..x

Bella Blvd | Project Life...

Hi Everyone!  I just wanted to share with you my Project Life spread | Week 39.  It is up on the Bella BLVD blog today with a few details as to how and why I chose to use the Candid Cards and Paper Pieces from several Bella collections.

"Week 39"

products used: pp - Bella Blvd; alpha - Bella Blvd (High Five Alphabets: Black-White); other - Bella Blvd: Candid Cards, Trinkets, Paper Pieces; Treasures & Text; Miniatures, Chipboard Icons;  Ciao Chip Elements: Stars & Hearts; tools - machine stitching, typewriter, photo flip pocket.

Of course, my Project Life is never complete without a weekly run-through of journaling.  But with this week being the start of the September school holidays, I had a high number of photos to include in my spread and no place to add my words.  The simplest solution is to add hidden journaling with a flip pocket.

Don't forget to visit Bella Blvd to check out what the team has been up to lately.  Thanks for visiting..x
